According to OSHA,  fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees (BLS data).¹ But those deaths were preventable. Each year, OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down aims to raise awareness about fall hazards and working at heights in an effort to help prevent fall fatalities and injuries in construction.

In this video from National Safety Stand-Down 2020, MSA safety experts provide an overview of the “ABCs of Fall Protection,” including:

  • A: Anchorage points and connectors

  • C: Connecting devices

You’ll learn the various components of a fall arrest system and key things you need to think about before putting your personal fall arrest system together.
