Reading Time: < 1 minuteMSA V-Gard H2™ Safety Helmets feature ANSI Type II certification with the option of the Mips® brain protection system for industrial safety helmets. Year over year, industrial workers in the United States continue to experience on-the-job injuries and fatalities related to falling objects/equipment and slips, trips, and falls.

During 2021-2022, some of the top causes of days away from work were:

  • “Falls, slips and trips” with 450,540 cases
  • “Contact with objects and equipment” with 450,050 cases.*

One of the most serious types of injuries that can result from falling objects and equipment or slips, trips, and falls is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Head protection that features the latest technology to help provide protection against top and lateral impacts, as well as help reduce the risk of TBIs, can help keep workers safe on jobsites where these safety risks are a concern.

MSA V-Gard H2™ Safety Helmets feature ANSI Type II certification, while delivering the MSA standard for quality, comfort, and customization. V-Gard H2 Safety Helmets are also available with an option for additional protection, with the Mips® brain protection system for industrial safety helmets.

The Mips® system adds another layer of protection helping to mitigate brain trauma by redirecting rotational forces in the event of an impact. This technology allows the helmet to move relative to the head at impact, redirecting energies and helps reduce the harmful rotational motion of the head.

Learn more about how the Mips® system works in this demonstration video.
